Congratulations 2023 Scholarship Recipients
On May 17, 2023 The Alice Housing Authority awarded a $500.00 scholarship award along with a Laptop. The 2023 Scholarship awards were presented to David T Sendejo and Allyssa Rodriguez.
It's Hard to believe it's time to celebrate the achievements of all bright young minds out there. Whether it's high school, college or beyond , graduation is a major milestone in a person's life, and it's always worth celebrating .

Jacob has been accepted into the Universal Technical Institute- Automotive Technology program at UTI- Houston, in Houston, TX
The Alice Housing Authority and Board Members is celebrating the achievements of Melissa Killough who obtained her G.E.D. and is now a student at Del Mar College working on her Associates Degree in Business Administration/Entrepreneurship. Ms. Killough was honored with a scholarship, dinner, graduation cake, and a Certificate of achievement from the Alice Housing Authority.

Congratulations Eridania Ibanez 2022 Scholarship Recipient
The Housing Authority of Alice is a professional membership organization consisting of Residents, Board Members, Employees, and individuals who administer housing and community development in Alice, TX. Housing Authority City of Alice Tenant Association is the leading Housing and Community Development Advocate for the provision of adequate and affordable housing and strong, viable communities for all Jim Wells County, particularly those with low and moderate incomes. Housing Authority City of Alice provides annual scholarships each year to deserving students, graduating from high school, whose families are Public Housing Residents or Section 8 Clients. This year the Alice Housing Authority is giving a $1,000.00 scholarship in memory of David Clark. The scholarship will be for students whose family resides in the Section 8 Program or Public Housing Program. The evaluation committee considered students who have achieved a special level of distinction in their community because of their concern for humanity. Students who have responded to a crisis or who have created a resource to address a need in their community are good candidates for this scholarship.
The eligibility requirements for the scholarship must be a resident of Public Housing or participant in the Section 8 program:
Be a resident of Public Housing Program or a participant in the Section 8 Program.
Be a graduating high school senior.
Demonstrate exceptional school attendance.
Demonstrate high academic achievement.
Demonstrate leadership and/ or high level of motivation.
