As part of our annual Valentine's Day Celebration our Staff put together and passed out Treat Bags for our Elderly at
La Bella Vida Highrise, Alice Courtyard Apartments (Third St.) and Woodlawn & Arlington Apartments.

Alice Housing Authority is excited to share Thanksgiving with our Residents! Although this is not our usual way to enjoy Thanksgiving, we are very Thankful that Everyone can still Celebrate with us. We would Love to give a Big Thanks to All that Donated!!

Yes, 1 in 4 people 65+ fall every year but that does not mean you have to be afraid of falling. The National Council on Aging (NCOA) has facts, tools and fall prevention strategies to help keep you safe. Falls impact caregivers also, caregivers want to worry less and keep loved ones safe. The Alice Housing Authority is celebrating the last day of our Summer Program! We are going to miss the children and in appreciation for their Perfect Attendance we had a Special gift for the children! We are looking forward to next year's Summer Program and we will see next summer!

We want to thank everyone for their generous participation in our Annual Back-to-School Event! We received many donations from Med Team, Inc., Retama Manor, Dental World, Texas Health Steps/Star Programs, and Driscoll Health Plan. 

Our Summer Program had an exciting several presentations from Jim Wells County AgriLife Better Living for Texans Program with Sylvia Gonzalez, Coordinator. The meals plate labeled as the "My Plate" taught the children about healthy eating included all the five food groups , how to prepare healthy snacks and better take care of your health. The children played rolling the large(foam) dice game involving physical exercising, toss the ball and bingo games, prizes were distributed. The children learned a lot and had fun with Ms. Sylvia Gonzalez!
